Data Screener Detectronic is continuing the expansion of our “DetecData Live” Sewer Network Monitoring, Analytical, Consultancy and Reporting Division. This specialist department provides a number of critical network management services to UK Water and Sewerage Companies (WaSCs) and to MOD Clients all of whom are charged with delivering optimal operational performance from their wastewater networks, dealing with the consequences of environmental change and in the case of WaSCs, meeting or exceeding their Outcome Delivery Incentives (ODIs) imposed by Ofwat. Overview Human review of Data is the vital final element of the largely automated analytical services which Detectronic provides to its Clients. The Detectronic Data Centre monitors near real-time data and provides Screening, Analysis and the critically important Intervention-Reporting Services which help our Customers to Reduce Flooding, Reduce Sewer Flooding and Prevent Pollution of our watercourses. As one of the primary points of contact for clients the Data Centre work closely with all departments within Detectronic to ensure efficient collection and transfer of information. Skills Required, Job Responsibilities and Expectations Excellent analytical skills Good understanding of IT and systems (particularly Microsoft Office) Excellent interpersonal skills, telephone manner, the ability to work within a team and liaise with personnel at all levels within the business and with Clients As this is a remote working position you must have the ability to self-motivate and organise. Monitor, screen and analyse incoming Flow and Level data Monitor incoming Weather Data Collate and analyse data on a day-to-day basis You will have (as an advantage) or develop an understanding of hydrology and hydraulics (on the job training will be given) Review outputs from our systems against historical data prior to Issue of Client Action Reports You will naturally have excellent attention to detail, a great attitude to life and work together with the aptitude to succeed in a data-oriented career. It would be helpful to provide evidence/examples of these traits within your application. Fine print Specialist training will be given where necessary Required equipment will be provided Weekend working is part of this role Working hours 12pm – 6pm, Monday – Sunday (working 5 days out of 7).
