As an Electrical Supervisor for Detectronic MEICA Ltd, you will work closely with the Technical Director and site crew. You will be expected to use your knowledge gained from our internal training programme, alongside your existing industry experience to ensure the smooth running of all projects from inception to completion. The responsibilities include overseeing electrical work and site electricians, on site installation, scoping work, ordering materials, issuing permits and ensuring electrical safety rules are followed. Projects are locally and nationally based.

You will work as part of a small team predominantly in Devon and Cornwall carrying out installation, calibration and maintenance of Detectronic’s Smart Flow and Level monitors in the wastewater network.

To be successful you’ll be flexible, practical and have the ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills. The ability to identify and troubleshoot problems is important as is the ability to work unsupervised, so you’ll need to be self-motivated and well organised. A full driving licence is essential although you do not need your own vehicle.

Full training and on-going support is provided and all that is required is common sense and a “can-do” attitude.

This job will involve working in some confined spaces and requires a reasonable physical fitness level as well as being willing to work outdoors in all weather, but not all work is outdoors or challenging. For the right candidate this job will provide an interesting and stimulating challenge.

In return, we’ll give you a full training package, pension, company bonuses, 20 days holiday + bank holidays plus an extra day for each year of service, capping at 5 extra days and a generous nightly working away allowance for those occasions when the sites  you’re visiting are too far away.

Salary from £20-24k, depending on experience.
