We’re delighted to announce that our South West Operations Manager, Andrew Southall, has been appointed as a trustee on the Westcountry Rivers Trust board.

Working alongside fellow trustees and chief executive, Dr Laurence Couldrick, Andrew will support the aims of the charitable Trust to help restore and protect the water environment in the Westcountry for the benefit of people, wildlife and the local economy.

Explains Andrew: “The Trust is made up of people with a real passion for rivers and that’s something that I can certainly relate to. With my wide experience and knowledge of the UK water industry, I hope to be able to help the Trust to further enhance its engagement with organisations such as the Environment Agency, local utility companies and many other stakeholders to develop mutually beneficial, long-term relationships.”

Commenting on Andrew’s appointment Chief Executive of the Westcountry Rivers Trust, Dr Laurence Couldrick, said: “ Having Andrew Southall and Prof David Butler, from Exeter University, joining the trustee board will help immensely as we engage more deeply with businesses both at the catchment level and across the region as well as gain a heightened understanding of urban water management and the Trust’s role in this environment.”
