Flood and pollution prevention experts, Detectronic, have appointed Phill Tuxford as sales and technical support engineer.

Tuxford, 38, has a BSc in Physics, a BA in Human Geography and an MSc in Science Communication and has spent 13 years at data logging firm, Technolog, in a similar role. Over the last six months he has also worked for a water treatment company in the north of England.

Commenting on his new role, Tuxford said: “Detectronic were one of my customers in my previous job and I always enjoyed working on their projects. I missed data logging when I joined the water treatment company earlier this year so when I heard that Detectronic were expanding their sales and technical team, I got in touch.

“I’ll be working alongside the directors and business development manager, Jen Gorniak, to support business development and enhance existing and new customer relations. At the same time, I will provide in-house and on-site technical support to further enhance Detectronic’s service levels in this area.”

Concludes Steve Woods, managing director at Detectronic: “Phill has an excellent working knowledge of our business combined with valuable experience of data monitoring and analysis in the UK and European water industries – we’re proud to have him join our growing team of professionals.”
