Detectronic launches apprenticeship scheme to help more young people earn while they learn

Lancashire-based wastewater monitoring specialists, Detectronic, have launched a new apprenticeship scheme specifically designed to help young people to earn while they learn.

Whilst, by historical standards, youth unemployment levels remain low (455,000 16-24 year olds were unemployed in Feb-April 2022*), apprenticeships continue to represent an ideal alternative to full-time education for those who may not have the desire or means to go to university.

Explains Neil Butler, managing director at Detectronic: “We’ve always had apprenticeship opportunities here at Detectronic and, having taken on our latest apprentice this month, we made the decision to launch a new apprenticeship scheme which will enable more youngsters to ‘earn and learn’.”
