We’re delighted to announce that undergraduate, Tom Marsden, will be joining Detectronic on 27th June to start an apprenticeship.

Tom is studying business growth at Sheffield Hallam University and will be working alongside our commercial director, Dave Walker.

As part of Tom’s apprenticeship, he will support the management team across a variety of areas including strategy and marketing. He will also focus on helping with the ongoing development of international business, particularly the recruitment of global channel partners.

Commenting on his role, Tom said: “Combining my University degree with an apprenticeship at Detectronic gives me a whole host of opportunities to apply the theory and skills I’m learning as well as immerse myself in the world of work. I’m really looking forward to getting to know all my colleagues over the coming months and making a valuable contribution to the company’s continued growth.”

Concludes Dave: “Nurturing up-and-coming talent via apprenticeship schemes is something we have always endeavoured to deliver here at Detectronic. As our newest apprentice, Tom will hit the ground running by getting directly involved in several live projects. It’s great to have him on board.”

We have a number of other opportunities available across the business. If you’re interested in a career in the global water industry, please visit our careers page to find out more.
