Andrew Southall is new SW Operations Manager

Andrew Southall has joined flood and pollution prevention specialists, Detectronic, as Operations Manager for the South West of England and Wales.

Southall has over 17 years experience of working in the UK water industry including directing the growth of a significant water and environmental engineering consultancy which was sold to an international infrastructure and utility services company.

Since the sale of the consultancy, Devon-based Southall has invested in an assistive technology business and a manufacturing firm that builds water quality monitoring devices. He also spent two years in business development for the South West Regional Development Agency.

Commenting on his new role with Detectronic, Southall said: “With my previous role as operations director for a water and environmental engineering consultancy, I understand the requirement to develop a dispersed model of operational activity.

“I’ll be working closely with my new colleagues, Dave Walker and Jen Gorniak, to help scale Detectronic’s business and develop operational bases to serve clients here in the South and South West including Southern Water, South West Water, Wessex Water and Dwr Cymru Welsh Water.”
