Ensuring Accurate Surface Water Modelling for a Major UK Airport

When it comes to accurate surface water monitoring for airports, precise data collection is critical for effective water management and regulatory compliance. A major UK airport recently embarked on a 12-month flow survey to enhance the accuracy of their surface water models, and they turned to Detectronic for expert support.

Our team supplied the airport with 38 MSFM MCERTS flow meters, 9 LIDoTT Alarms, and 2 Raingauges all designed to capture and deliver precise data. These devices ensured accurate monitoring, even in challenging environments like wet wells, where the LIDoTT alarms offered real-time alerts on abnormal flow levels.

By installing this equipment across the airport site, Detectronic allowed the airport’s modelling contractors to verify and refine their surface water models. With data transmitted directly to their team, ongoing analysis ensures optimal surface water management throughout the entire project.

This project demonstrates how our surface water monitoring solutions help large infrastructure sites like airports maintain compliance with environmental regulations and improve their overall water management strategies. Discover how Detectronic’s expertise can help airports and similar facilities achieve better accuracy in surface water monitoring and compliance.
