Strengthening the sales team Date: 09/01/18 | In: Recruitment and careers Tags: appointment Two industry professionals appointed to cover UK-wide sales development Flood and pollution prevention specialists, Detectronic, have strengthened their existing sales team with the appointment of two industry professionals. Graham Miles joins the business as Sales Engineer covering the South of England while Oliver Harrison moves from heading up the company’s field service team to Sales Engineer for the North of England. Oliver will primarily focus on supporting and developing new and existing business and Graham, who has more than 30 years industry experience, will divide his time delivering business development for both Detectronic and Detectronic MEICA. Graham began his career with the MOD as a research scientist and then went on to work in the aerospace industry as a design engineer. It was in this role that he developed a density sensor for aviation fuel which is still fitted to all Boeing and Airbus aircraft today as part of the fuel management system. Graham then moved into the oil and gas industry where he delivered numerous MEICA projects and headed up flow metering maintenance and service contracts for a number of global petrochemical clients Commenting on the appointments, Dave Walker, commercial director for Detectronic said: “Both Graham and Oliver bring an unrivalled amount of experience, skills and knowledge to the table which will enhance our continued focus on business development and customer service across the UK. “The recent launch of our modular flow and quality monitoring system – The ORAKEL – also opens up numerous sales opportunities for Graham and Oliver to explore since the system has many potential applications for a wide range of industries and companies.”
