Detectronic sales director, Neil Butler, and sales engineer, Harry Threlfall, recently had the privilege of taking part in a  ‘Supplier Day’ hosted by F. Fonseca.

Located in the town of Aveiro, F. Fonseca was founded in 1978 with the aim of commercialising several types of components and electrical and electronic equipment from leading worldwide manufacturers.

Over the years, the company has evolved to become a market leader of products for use in four key commercial areas: industrial automation; process, instrumentation and environment; building technologies and professional training.

Explains Neil: “When Bruno Ferreira, account manager at F. Fonseca, told us about the ‘Supplier Day’ and outlined its importance, we knew we had to be there.

“A highlight of the company’s calendar, celebrating 40 years, the ‘Supplier Day’ was attended by a wide variety of F. Fonseca’s customers from around the globe. Students and graduates from local colleges and universities were also invited. It’s a real meeting of talented intellects and like-minded industry professionals.”

Continues Neil: “Harry and I spent the day showcasing a number of Detectronic flow monitoring products and outlining their individual and collective benefits to a new audience. Bruno also very kindly took the time out of his busy schedule to arrange meetings with several customers. We were able to discuss existing and forthcoming projects that may require our input and expertise.”

Concludes Harry: “Attending the ‘Supplier Day’ and spending time ‘in country’ with Bruno and the wider F. Fonseca team was extremely beneficial for both parties. We’re looking forward to developing a prosperous and successful relationship with F. Fonseca and potentially naming them as our official channel partner in Portugal. Watch this space!”
